Women in the Home Industries Today (WithIt) has opened online registration for its annual education event, the renamed WithIt Professional Conference 2009. This year’s three-day gathering for home industry professionals is set for August 11 – 13, in a new venue at the Embassy Suites Hotel Resort and Conference Center Charlotte – Concord, North Carolina.
WithIt is the premiere international organization dedicated to the support and development of professional women in the home industries. Its all-volunteer board led by Liz O’Brien, 2009 WithIt president, expects to emphasize the organization’s leadership role in the industry through strategic coverage of relevant professional topics, leading edge business strategies and access to key influencers.
“WithIt’s late summer conference was voted the organization’s most valuable membership benefit in a 2007 survey,” said O’Brien. “The post-conference feedback also indicates with consistency that participants take away a lot of value both professionally and personally.”
“That value is enhanced by the relatively low cost of WithIt’s event, and for this year we will maintain the 2008 conference pricing,” O’Brien added. “We’re aware and respect that the entire industry is undergoing budgetary constraints given the current economic conditions.”
Retailers, manufacturers, suppliers, interior designers and other industry professionals are invited to participate in WithIt’s popular roundtable discussions, educational forums, leadership development activities and networking by registering at
www.withit.org. Early bird special pricing and tickets to the August 12th WOW Awards and Gala dinner are also available through the website.
New to this year’s conference lineup is an optional “Curbside Mentoring Program,” offering members one-on-one discussions with an expert in a area they are seeking help in. This fee-based activity will be available with limited time slots and require advance sign-up. Additional information regarding the new program, pre-conference workshops, and the 2009 keynote speaker will be announced soon.
