Easy Furniture Web Tip 175: Turning New Content into a Workhorse

A client sent me a draft of a new information page for her website. She requested I clean it up, do my “SEO thing,” and submit it to the web developer.
This is an easy task for me to do and I am pleased when clients are proactive and develop new content without my suggestion.
But there was more that she could, and should, do with her new content — especially since it was a “how to” article.
Before uploading it to her site, she should slap her
byline on the piece and offer it as an article to an online trade publication. This would do three things:
1. Position her as an expert in her field
2. Give her company more visibility
3. Provide a valuable link back to her website (link should be embedded in her bio)
Once published, she could
notify her email list, sending them a link to the article. Of course, she should also load it as a page on her website.
If she adds
pictures to the piece, she can post it to Pinterest. Add a
video and she can post it on her You Tube channel.
Throughout this process, she can be posting links to the various places her article is located on her Facebook and Twitter pages.
She shouldn’t forget Old World media either. She should also submit her new content to trade
print publications.
Easy Furniture Web Tip 175: New content in the form of a well-written helpful web article can really be a workhorse to help your business grow.
