To get your web and other online content done in a timely manner, hire a savvy web copywriter who knows the playground.
Recently, a client told me that his manager was complaining about me. I had been working on the content of their new website. “When is Kathy going to stop sending us bills,” he had said.
My client told him, “When the job is finished, the bills will stop. Kathy gets it done.”
The project had gotten hung up because the web developers they had signed with had said getting the content would be “easy.” My client’s company was always busy; their staff just didn’t have the time or know-how to develop good content.
Later, the web developers told me I had “saved” the project.
My client told me, “Kathy, we should have brought you in from the start.”
That wasn’t the first time I’ve heard that.
I don’t tell you all this to brag, but only to share my experience in case you are about to develop a new website (many are these days). Be sure that if you handle your content development in-house, you give your staffer ample time to do the work. He or she should also be qualified or given the time and budget to study up.
